GM Construction specializes in design driven, whole home renovation projects. We transform homes for successful professionals and their families in the greater Tampa area with the help of our A-team of architects, sub-contractors and designers.

 
 

FULL SERVICE RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL GENERAL CONTRACTOR

GM Construction operates as a “one-stop shop” for home construction. We are a design-build firm that is equal parts design-forward and construction-forward. This means our clients only need to explain their vision to one person who then communicates it to the whole design-build team. This is also the case throughout the project. If a change needs to be made, no need to discuss it with your designer or architect and then communicate it to your general contractor. With GM Construction, you have one point person throughout the entire length of your project who is accountable for the timeline, the budget, and delivering what you want. If the scope of your project involves building a detached structure, completing an addition, or structural changes like moving load-bearing walls we will work with our preferred architect to have drawings completed for submittal for permitting

We can complete projects at a faster pace! Projects move faster with a design-build firm. That’s because there is an overlap between the design and construction phase rather than a lull in momentum when the design phase ends, and a general contractor takes up the building phase. A study commissioned by the DBIA found that commercial projects using design-build firms finished about 33 percent faster than those that used the traditional design, bid, and build process. We think the same is true with residential construction!

ON SCHEDULE

Changes you make to the project along the way are also completed faster. Often with the traditional design, bid, and build workflow, a change to your project will require some back and forth between designer, architect and general contractor to see what’s possible and what the best way forward is. Traditionally, this could hold up your project for weeks or more.
